Ellen Winhammar
Hello and welcome, friends, to my site! I'm an artist based in southeast England with a passion for the silly things in life. I live with my two VERY fluffy cats who REALLY like to sleep on my freshly washed white clothes for some reason, and a very yappy dog. I love all things creative: drawing, painting, crafting, you name it!

I mostly draw what makes me happy, or brings smiles to peoples faces. My favourite part about making art as an artist is when I see other people interacting with my work; having people pore over, giggle at or be cheered up by my work is an amazing feeling! I love hearing about the ways people interpret my work, too. You'd be surprised at how many creative ways people look at art.
I don't have a set medium that I favour, I just work with whatever's on hand. Things like office stationary, knockoff-branded supplies, and whatever else is usually it, though I do use Clip Studio and artist-grade paints and pencils. Have a browse, and don't be shy to contact me if you have any questions!

"Humour is vital to my work. It draws everyone in, not the select few "in the know"."

Much of my inspiration comes from natural beauty, but not just "traditional" beauty. There's inspiration in the strange way cats perch, the laughter as we watch a seagull peck a sauce pot, the angry-faced toads that hop along at night after a bad storm.

I work to capture the essence of these moments. Each piece I make with love and an effort to have it make you feel something; uplifted, comforted, energised, or perhaps understood.

Cornwall has a rich natural environment and local culture, a perfect place to draw inspiration from. Shrieking seagulls, cream teas, sparkling beaches... so much beauty that seeps its way into my works.
